Instruction for Artist Application

Please be prepared to fill out artist Bio, email, provide a profile picture, artist inspiration of each submitted art piece, size and media type of each submission.    VOV represents a number of artist and provided approximately 60 days of exhibiting of art every 90 days.

VOV Consignment Agreement

This agreement between Jover Fine Art Productions LLC, hereinafter referred to as “Vault of Visions Art Gallery” located at 1 North Market St., Frederick, MD 21701, and the Artist/Photographer (artist name), hereinafter referred to as “The Artist”, located at (artist studio or residency address) agree to the provision of consignment as stated below.
<ol>
 	<li>Agency: The Artist appoints the Gallery as the agent for the works of art (“The Artworks”) consigned under this Agreement, for the purposes of exhibition and The Gallery shall not permit the Artworks to be used for any other purposes without the written consent of the Artist.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="2">
 	<li>Consignment: The Artist hereby consigns to Vault of Visions Art Gallery and the Gallery accepts on consignment; those Artworks listed on Addendum One (1) “Inventory”.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="3">
 	<li>Copyright: The Artist hereby warrants he/she created and possesses unencumbered title to the Artwork and that their descriptions of the Artwork are true and accurate.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="4">
 	<li>Duration of Consignment: The Artist and the Gallery agree that the initial term of consignment for the Artworks is to be 3 months from (date of artwork acceptance and delivery) until (3 months pursuant to date of delivery).</li>
</ol>

 	<li>Gallery Hours: (except for special events and holidays)</li>
</ol>
Tuesday - Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Saturday 12:00 – 5:00pm

First Saturday 12:00 – 7:00pm
<ol>
 	<li>Conditions of Consignment: Artwork listed in Addendum One (1) “Inventory” shall be restricted for sale only by “The Vault of Visions Art Gallery” for the duration of the agreed upon consignment.</li>
 	<li>Prints or Greeting Cards: Prints of the artwork are only to be made by the fulfillment known as “Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing” located next to the gallery.</li>
 	<li>Restrictions: At no time during the period of consignment shall a print, copy or any derivative of be sold by anyone other than The Vault of Visions Art Gallery during the time of consignment. If a sale, other than authorized by the gallery, is detected, the gallery shall receive full price of the sale, and all the artist’s artwork will be removed from the gallery.</li>
 	<li>Pricing The Artist shall determine the price of the artwork in the attached Addendum One (1). The Vault of Visions Art Gallery will sell the artwork and keep 40% of the proceeds.  The artist payment will be processed within five (5) business days of the sale of original artwork. Print and greeting card sales will be processed monthly. Note: artist will share in the credit card service cost.  Artist is responsible for 60% of the credit card fees.  (Square statements will be included with monthly sales statements) The Vault of Visions Art Gallery utilizes Square as the credit card processing company.  </li>
</ol>

 	<li>Display: All works submitted for display shall be display ready, adhering to the policies of the The gallery maintains sole control over the display, placement, lighting and labeling of the artwork under consignment.  Types of displays are:</li>
</ol>
 
<ol>
 	<li>Easel Display – easel is provided by The Vault of Vision Art Gallery with lighting. The display will be for original artwork or photo provided by the artist.</li>
 	<li>Wall Display – wall space is provided by The Vault of Vision Art Gallery with lighting. The display will be for original artwork provided by the artist.</li>
 	<li>Greeting Card Display – Only Greeting Cards made by the fulfillment center “Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing” may be displayed for sale. The artist will purchase the greeting cards and digitizing services (when applicable) from Jover at their professional discount then when sold by the gallery payouts will be 80% of the artist sale price. The artist is also responsible for 80% of the credit card fees.</li>
 	<li>Print Display - Only Prints made by the fulfillment center “Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing” may be displayed for sale. The artist will purchase the Prints and digitizing services (when applicable) from Jover at their professional discount then when sold by the gallery payouts will be 80% of the artist sale price. The artist is also responsible for 80% of the credit card fees.</li>
 	<li>Online sales— are subject to 40% commission of the sale. Credit card processing fees are also shared between the Artist and Gallery proportional to commission.</li>
</ol>

 	<li>Artist Information:
<ol>
 	<li>Artist Statements: The Artist must provide a brief artist statement Addendum Two (2) “Artist Statements”, a few sentences about each artwork listed in Addendum One (1) “Inventory”.</li>
 	<li>Artist Bio: The artist will provide a concise written bio with their signed consignment agreement as Addendum three (3).</li>
 	<li>Artist Image: The artist will provide a professional headshot or image of themself working in studio in a .jpeg of best quality. This image may appear on the Gallery website.</li>
</ol>

<ol start="7">
 	<li>Loss or Damage, Insurance Coverage: The Gallery will maintain insurance for artwork for the duration of this agreement.</li>
</ol>
<ol start="8">
 	<li>Reproduction of Artwork/Photo: The Artist shall at no time during this agreement reproduce any artwork/photograph listed on “Addendum One Inventory” other than through Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="9">
 	<li>Copyright: The Artist shall remain the owner of all copywrites pertaining to all the art on “Addendum One Inventory” until they choose to relinquish ownership.</li>
</ol>

<ol start="10">
 	<li>Digital and Print Rights and Usage: Vault of Visions reserves the right to publish artist biographies, information, and images of artwork to the gallery website, newsletter, and social media platforms.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="11">
 	<li>Termination of Agreement: Notwithstanding any other provision of this agreement, the Agreement may be terminated at any time by either the Gallery or the Artist by means of written notification of termination from either party to the   Any art sold prior to the written date of termination in this agreement will still require the Gallery to receive 40% of the sales price.  In the event of the Artist’s death, the estate of the Artist shall have the right to terminate the Agreement. Within thirty days of the notification of termination, all accounts shall be settled, and all unsold Artworks shall be returned by the Gallery.</li>
</ol>
 
<ol start="12">
 	<li>Removal of Artwork: Artwork shall be removed within five (5) days of termination of this agreement.  If after five (5) days, the art has not been removed the artwork becomes property of the gallery to include all copyrights.</li>
